Deputies in Moffat County got so fed up waiting for surveillance company Flock Safety to retrieve their automated license plate readers that they climbed the ladders and took down all ten cameras themselves.
Denver, Fort Collins, Salida, Englewood, and Moffat County have all cut ties with Flock this year, with many citing concerns over who controls the data. But some of the biggest departments leaving Flock, like Denver and Douglas County, are switching vendors to Axon instead of dropping the technology altogether.
