There are 30 new Trader Joe’s grocery stores opening across the U.S., including the 10th in Colorado.
The stores are listed as opening soon on the trendy grocer’s website, although only two of the 30 have opening dates announced. They are spread across 16 states.
Trader Joe’s is best known for its assortment of house brand foods, including the perennially popular mandarin orange chicken, and quality goods for lower prices, such as its Charles Shaw wine (better known as Two Buck Chuck).

Trader Joe’s opened its first Colorado store in 2014, staying out of the state in part because of restrictive liquor laws in place at the time. Those laws have since been loosened, making it easier for grocery stores to sell full-strength wine.
Where will the new Trader Joe’s store be located?
The new Colorado store is planned for 8564 East Northfield Blvd., Denver. The location is in the Northfield neighborhood, part of the ongoing redevelopment of the former Stapleton Airport site.
No opening date was announced.
Where else is Trader Joe’s opening new stores?
In addition to the new Denver location, Trader Joe’s plans to open 29 new stores in Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Washington.
How many Trader Joe’s are in Colorado?
There are nine Trader Joe’s grocery stores in Colorado. They are in Boulder, Colorado Springs, Denver, Fort Collins, Greenwood Village, Littleton, Parker and Westminster. Two of the locations have wine stores that are listed separately in the chain’s store directory.
